AMS  Release Notes
(Software Maintenance Release 1.42 - Aug 2006)

Internet-AMS Software Release 1.42 updates the Action Management System (AMS) with additional minor usability changes and bug fixes to Release 1.4

Summary of Updates:
1. Minor bug fixes.
2. Adding of a "Re-order" button to Improvement Projects.
3. Activation of the Report Scheduler.
4. Additional Reports.
5. Revised AMS Main Menu Structure.

(1) Minor Bug Fixes.

These minor changes were to prevent data being entered where an illogical entry could possibly create an error. We have also improved usability by the duplication of some functions and buttons that can now be accessed from different areas of AMS.

(2) Adding of a "Re-order" button to Improvement Projects.

Within an Improvement Project there is now an [R] button that re-numbers the project Actions starting at 001.00 and incrementing by whole numbers. This function is used after all project Actions have been put into the correct sequence using the Action Order field. New project Actions can also be slotted into sequence and then re-ordered at any time.

(3) Activation of the Report Scheduler.

The Report Scheduler has now been activated. This functionality enables a user Administrator to set up the automatic running of any report and the delivery of this report via email to any user or group of users. This can include reports that are not openly available to every user of the AMS system. For example, the CEO can now receive the email delivery of any special report at (say) 9.00am every Monday. There is no need for the CEO to log on to AMS, the report is simply delivered to the CEO's email address as a PDF attachment to an email. In addition to the email dispatch, there is an entry made into the CEO's Action Reminders within AMS so that the next time the CEO logs on to AMS then the report is just one click away. This automatic email distribution of reports can also be extended to parties that are NOT users of AMS (e.g. Non-executive Directors, etc).

(4) Additional Reports.

Three new reports have been added to AMS.
(a) The "Project Overdue Actions Report" (available to all users) is located within the Improvement Projects area and is activated by the [O] button. This report lists all incomplete project actions that are overdue as at the date of running of the report.
(b) The "All Projects Overdue Actions Report" (available only to the Administrator) lists all Improvement Projects together with all incomplete project actions that are overdue on each project as at the date of running of the report.
(c) The "Incidents Overdue Report" (available only to the Administrator) lists all incidents that are overdue in each Incident Category across the whole business as at the date of running of the report.

(5) Revised AMS Main Menu Structure.

The AMS Main Menu has been reorganized and expanded for more intuitive use by new users. Fewer clicks are now required to navigate to key items in the system and the terminology of menu items has been made more logical for new users of AMS.

The fully expanded menu is shown below.
